In the fast-paced world of social media marketing, finding influencers who strike the perfect balance between authenticity and relatability is becoming increasingly valuable. In a recent article by Business of Fashion titled "Why You Should Hire an Influencer with Day Job," the spotlight is shed on the unique appeal of influencers who maintain regular jobs while creating original and authentic content, offer a refreshing perspective for both brands and consumers. Among these talented creators are Vicky and Lisa, who leverage their tech jobs to deliver original and engaging content to their followers.

The Appeal for Brands:

Brands are increasingly recognising the unique value that influencers with day jobs, like Filippa Lindau bring to the table. Brands appreciate the real-world experience and deep industry understanding that these influencers possess, aligning their brand with individuals who resonate with their audience on a genuine level.

Today, we have the pleasure of speaking with Filippa Lindau, a rising star in the influencer landscape who expertly balances her full-time job with her passion for content creation. Filippa's authentic voice, effortless attitude, and relatable lifestyle have garnered attention from both brands and consumers seeking genuine connections.

Filippa: I live in Sweden, in a small town called Borås. Just moved home after living in Gothenburg for 2 years. I work at a Swedish fashion brand ”Gina Tricot” as a content creator and have done that for almost 1,5 year *. Before that I worked at NA-KD as a social media coordinator so for almost 3 years I have worked with social media for these fashion brands. I have always loved creating content for myself so I really love that I got the opportunity to work at it beside my own channels as well.

Has your interest to content creation inspired your current job or was it the other way around?

Content creation has always inspired me to dream of a full-time job doing that and be creative and

that was the key for me to get a job in the fashion industry as a content creator as well. Actually I

got headhunted to both of my latest works and I think it’s because I always used my own channels

as a portfolio for myself to show what I can do and love.

How much do you filter the content on your account? (Do you document and share

moments during the day/ plan content ahead/ other)

I try to plan sometimes so I got content for each week when it comes to outfit pictures but I also

want my channels to feel very personal and I always show a lot from my work, my life and free time

on my storys as well.

How do you manage creating content for your account with a “day job”?

I try to get some help from my friends when it comes to outfit pictures. But my daytime job always

go first and then I do all my own content on my free time. If I wear a nice outfit some day I hope to

get a picture that day but the weather in Sweden is hard to work with for the good light haha..

You stepped over the 30K milestone! If you look back, which project or partnership can you highlight as one of your favourites so far? Why?

I think my latest thing with outfit reels, showing my weekly looks was a small project with a thought

in my mind that this could maybe help me grow a bit. But for a partnership I loved working with the Swedish brand Soft Goat Cashmere and I always love working with Holdit that got my phone

covered with cute cases. I also did a small campaign with them 2022 which was super fun for me!

What part(s) of the industry do you enjoy the most?

That you get so inspired of so many talented and mostly young girls all the time. I find new people

every week to get inspired from and I love that you create your own community with people from all

of the world. It’s super cool!

Are you open to new partnerships @filippalindaau?

I am, I love working with new people and brands! Just slide in to my DM ;)

* At the time of the publishing Filippa works at Jotex as Social Content Producer
